Analyst Programmer / Senior Analyst Programmer (Data Warehouse)
Responsibilities
1. Development and support of Data Warehouse application
2. Liaise with users to understand business, application and system requirements
3. Analyse changes and impacts on existing systems
4. Ensure that all documentation, processes and methodologies used in the various phases of system development and implementation and production system support are in accordance with the Group’s standards
5. Develop/maintain detailed design specification
6. Coordinate and facilitate discussion with different levels of personnel ranging from development management, application team leaders and other external parties that my include vendors and with other teams.
7. Prepare, conduct and review of system tests, to ensure accuracy and completeness to ensure problem free-implementation
Requirements
1. At least 2 - 6 years programming experience in SAS programming
2. At least 2 - 6 years programming experience in Mainframe
3. Good general understanding of the systems development life cycle and where the incumbent’s work fits within it
4. Understanding of the general IT/IS environment including overall infrastructure, interfaces between major systems, and the roles of other IT-related units
5. Appreciation of quality criteria and of the importance of quality
6. Sound communications skills, particularly in liaison with internal customers
7. Analytical and systematic thinking and methodical organisation
