PROCUREMENT DEPARTMENT, CORPORATE SERVICES DIVISION
Chief Procument Officer (based in Bangsar)
Responsibilities:
1. Define and manage the long-term group-wide procurement strategy.
2. Define group-wide cost reduction initiatives.
3. Define role and scope of central procurement.
4. Define implementation of best practices.
5. Oversee the overall skill building and knowledge transfer programme.
6. Oversee relationships with strategic suppliers.
7. Support negotiations with strategic suppliers.
8. Oversee Bumiputera vendor
development programme.
9. Define group-wide procurement policies.
10. Oversee the monitoring of procurement policies and auditing of compliance.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Admin or any related field.
2. Have at least ten (10) years workingexperience in procurement, (preferably in Multi National Company (MNC) or a leading local conglomerate – experience in technical, energy or power related industry is an advantage).
3. Well versed in strategy & policy development, and in procurement best practices.
4. Strong leadership and management skills, with extensive experience in dealing with senior management.
5. Strong verbal communication skills.
6. Strong negotiation skills.
